Ski Chalets in Tignes, France
Ski la PlagneLa Plagne is one of the largest and most famous ski resorts in France. It has now joined with les Arcs to form the Paradiski ski Area; one of the largest ski areas in the world! You can ski la Plagne all week and there will still be some runs you have missed! The ski resort of la Plagne is located at high altitude, in the Savoie French Alps. It consists of ten villages, by far the prettiest being Montchavin, all interlinked to create the huge 425km ski and snowboard winter playground. La Plagne caters for all abilities and is the perfect ski holiday destination for all. La Plagne is ideally suited for beginners. There is a wide choice of green and blue runs throughout the different sectors of the resort, with 10 greens and 73 blues out of the 132 runs and 225km pistes in total. For intermediates there are 73 blue runs and 38 reds in la Plagne. The area around Montchavin la Plagne is a great area to spend the day skiing if you are at intermediate level.
Ski Chalet la PlagneThe majority of the La Plagne ski chalets are in purpose built new resorts offering great ski in ski out facilities. However for the more disconcerting skier Montchavin la Plagne is one of the most attractive and stunning of all the French Ski resorts, perched at the top end of the valley and has spectacular panoramic views of Mont Blanc. The ski resort of Montchavin has retained the appeal of a traditional old farming hamlet with narrow streets and charming wooden chalets, but remains perfectly placed to access some of the best skiing in Europe. The pistes down to Montchavin, la Plagne are serviced by 277 snow cannons. As many pistes in la Plagne are above 2500 metres, this ensures that you can enjoy your La Plagne ski holidays late into the season.
